Recovery to Normal Existence by Kei Ito
In conjunction with the 20/20 Photo Festival, The Halide Project presents Recovery to Normal Existence, a multimedia solo exhibition featuring work by Kei Ito that blends the radioactive reality of the past and isolated post-nuclear apocalyptic imagined futures that now, after our collective experience of a global pandemic, take on a new layer of meaning. Ito is a cameraless photographer who examines global traumas through a multitude of experiences originating in his grandfather’s survival of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima during WWII.
