Emma Powell’s artwork investigates how photographs can go beyond factual rendering to tell fictional stories, harnessing the power of fantasy to create metaphor and narrative. Her hybrid approach merges historic photographic processes and contemporary technologies. 

Tonight, Emma will be discussing her introduction to alternative processes, as well as her early and current projects, and she will provide a detailed breakdown of how she makes one of her prints.
