Guðmundur Óli Pálmason is an Icelandic photographer whose manipulated Polaroids explore the desolate landscapes of his homeland and represent not only the abandonment of these spaces but the people who are no longer there.  The images address issues such as man’s relationship with the natural world and rural-to-urban migration.

Tonight, Gummi will be sharing his current work, as well as previous projects that led to it, and discussing the threads that connect all of his photographic work.  A Q&A will take place after his presentation.

Suggested donation: $10. This is a virtual event that is offered on a pay-what-you-wish basis. Please feel welcome to join for free, or make a donation of any amount after registering.

(*Note Time Zone: Event begins at 5pm (EST) in Philadelphia)
